The purpose and activities of the association are to cherish and promote traditional and natural tanning methods, increase cooperation between tanners, hunters, fishermen and farmers, give advise on processing methods, recovery and to increase general awareness of the subject. The association organizes monthly activities for its members, e.g. online meetings, which can have a theme, discuss topics related to tanning, ask about problems or share successes. We organize training days and study tours to operators related to the field. The association gains visibility at various fairs and markets. At the events, we hold work demonstrations where visitors can learn about traditional ways of processing leather and ask questions about related topics.
