Riihilatu invites you to join us in discovering the joy of movement, the peace of nature and a nice community. With us, you can hike, go outdoors and try new hobbies in relaxed company – all year round and with a low threshold.
Riihilatu ry is a warm-hearted and active member association of Suomen Latu, founded in 1970, which invites people of all ages to exercise, hike and enjoy nature together. We already have more than 800 members, and there is always room for new people who are interested in nature, exercise and doing things together.
Our stand will also have Hellikki dogs to delight visitors

Riihilatu promotes opportunities for Riihimäki residents and nearby residents to move around in nature and find well-being in outdoor activities all year round. Throughout the year, we organise a wide range of excursions, events and sports experiences where you can try new things, get company for hobbies and experience the joy of nature with a low threshold.
The heart of our activities are the active sections, through which you can participate in, for example, mountain biking, trail running, snowshoeing, nature power walking, hiking, walking, Nordic walking, canoeing, SUP boarding, as well as hiking and skiing in both southern and northern Finland. Whether you are an experienced hobbyist or just starting out, we have something to do, support and nice company.
In addition, Riihilatu has a cottage rent near Riihimäki in lake Paalijärvi – a cozy place to take a breather, spend time together and enjoy the peace of nature. There you can go boating, canoeing and relax in the warmth of the sauna. Welcome to join the activities to find your own way of moving, being outdoors and enjoying nature in good company.
